Content
This hands-on workshop session has been designed for the school DP Compliance Officer (or team member with data protection responsibilities), to strengthen their skills and assist them in providing peer support and guidance within the school on its path to GDPR compliance.
Each delegate receives a copy of the data handling resource kit (GDPR) and a certificate for their own CPD records and the school record of compliance.
As part of this course each delegate will complete 5 scenarios and a data mapping exercise to run though the record of processing activity.
A reviews of the new privacy law (GDPR) and its possible implications
Identifying sensitive personal data
Understanding the whole school responsibilities as a Data Controller
Dealing with Data Processors (DP’s) contracted to the school
Understanding encryption and its practical uses
Performing privacy impact assessments (PIA)
Timeframe of implementation
IT support & data processors contracted to the school
Creating a school compliance record
Completing a subject access request (SAR)
Reporting a breach to the LA\ICO
